Dillard, William O., Sr.

(born: 1938  -  died: 2022) 

William O. Dillard, Sr. was born in Hopkinsville, KY. In 1968, he became the first African American deputy sheriff in Christian County and in 1981 became the first African American elected sheriff in Kentucky. He received his law enforcement training at Eastern Kentucky University. William O. Dillard, Sr. died in 2022.
