Darrell, Betty L.(born: 1934)
Betty L. Darrell was born in Louisville, KY to Jerome and Cleoda Mason McDonald. She was among the first African Americans to attend the University of Louisville, from which she graduated with a BA in 1955. She also received an MA from Washburn University in 1969.
Beginning her career as a schoolteacher in Louisville, Darrell later served as the director of the Racial Justice Association and Project Equality, both in New York, and was director of the New York/New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council. From 1984-1995, Darrell was director of the Minority Business Enterprise Development of Pepsi Cola North America.
