White, Churchill
(born: 1880 - died: 1949)Churchill White was living in Talmage, KY when he invented the hemp brake machine (patent #1358907, November 16, 1920).
He is listed in the 1920 U.S. Census as living in McAfee, KY on the family farm with other siblings, including his brother Tom White, listed as the head of the family, and his mother. The property was located on Providence Pike. Churchill was a laborer on the farm.
In 1942, he was working for Lawrence Brewer, who was at the Experiment Station in Lexington, KY [source: World War II Draft Registration Card]. White's work location was on a farm in Harrodsburg.
White was born in 1880 in Mercer County, KY, the son of Churchill and Sallie Glover White.
