Kentucky Superintendent of Public Instruction Day Books - Colored
The Day Books document the financial transactions of the Kentucky Superintendent with county school administrators, including school commissioners, board officials, settlement of the school fund, and salaries paid. The books are also a source for documenting the counties with colored schools, including those schools located within the city limits but overseen by the county superintendent. See the Kentucky Department of Education's Superintendent of Public Instruction, Day Book - Colored, 1874-1892 and Superintendent of Public Instruction, Day Book - White / Colored, 1893-1906 .
