She was married and living in Dayton, OH when she enlisted in Cincinnati. Her basic training took place at Ft. Des Moines, IA. In the newspaper, her name was written as Hallie B. Martin. She had been employed by the Air Service Command at Patterson-Wright Air Force Base.
