Catherine Green [Roberts] was born in Sharpsburg, KY, the daughter of Mae Boyd and George Green. Catherine was living at home with her mother in 1940 when both were enumerated in the U.S. Census. She was married and working as a maid when she enlisted in the Army in Cincinnati, OH in 1943, according to her enlistment record in Ancestry. After her military service, Catherine Green Roberts returned to Kentucky and was employed at the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot. She died in Mt. Sterling, KY in 1998 and is buried in Longview Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
