Lucy Beckett Laury was born in Lawrenceburg, KY, the daughter of Queen Victoria Perkins and George R. Laury, Sr. The family is enumerated in the 1920-1940 U.S. Census. In 1943, Lucy B. Laury enlisted in the Army in Cincinnati, OH, according to her record in the National Archives, Access to Archival Databases. [Her last name is spelled "Laurie" in her enlistment record.] 

After her military service, Lucy B. Laury lived in Indianapolis, IN. She married Norris D. Mosley in 1947. Lucy B. Laury next lived in Cleveland, OH, where she was a clerk for 30 years at the Naval Finance Center. She retired in 1984. She died in Indianapolis in 1986. Lucy Beckett Laury Mosley is buried in the Woodlawn  Hills Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, KY.
