Smithtown (Lexington, KY)

The community, developed by African Americans at the end of the Civil War, is bordered by North Broadway, West Fourth, Jefferson, and West Sixth Streets. John Shelby, former Los Angeles Dodgers first base coach, grew up in Smithtown.
