Martin, Marion A.

(born: 1904  -  died: 1990) 

Born in Illinois, Martin taught at Jackson Junior High School in Louisville, KY from 1933-1962. He was the only African American teacher at Ahrens Night School and the first at duPont-Manual High School in 1962 (both in Louisville).

Martin was named Teacher of the Year in 1963. He served for 25 years on the Louisville City Textbook Commission.
