Brooks, Garland H.

(born: 1912  -  died: 1984) 

Garland H. Brooks was born in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of Carrie and Henry Brooks. He became a pharmacist after attending Attucks High School in Hopkinsville and receiving his Ph.D. from Howard University School of Pharmacy in 1934. He returned to Hopkinsville, where he became proprietor of Brooks Pharmacy. He was a brother of Phillip C. Brooks. For more see Profiles of Contemporary Black Achievers of Kentucky, by J. B.
