Rabb, Maurice F., Sr.

(born: 1902  -  died: 1982) 

Maurice F. Rabb, Sr. was born in Columbus, Mississippi. A graduate of Fisk University and Meharry Medical College, he practiced medicine in Louisville, KY, where he was also a civil rights activist. He was one of the first African American doctors to be admitted to the Jefferson County Medical Society. He was the father of Maurice F. Rabb, Jr. The Maurice F. and Jewell Rabb Collection, 1954-1983, is available at the University of Louisville Archives and Record Center. See also the online article "Maurice F.
